Job Description: Our Commercial Assistant Project Managers will bring their talents and high performance to our team to ensure the successful, high-quality execution of commercial solar projects per design documents and contract requirements.   The candidate for this role will be a collaborative team player with exceptional communication skills and can work autonomously and self-directed.   

This is a home-based role and can be located anywhere in New England.

  • Ability to travel 50% - 70%
  • Ability to work autonomously and self-directed
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management and Budgetary tools and software
  • Effectively assist and support the Regional Project Managers and the Regional Operations Manager
  • Provide weekly onsite oversight of subcontractors on commercial/utility scale solar PV projects
  • Compile and manage supporting documentation such as weekly reports, lien waivers, pre-commissioning documentation, QA/QC reports, punch lists, safety/accident documentation, etc.
  • Participate in ongoing management of all aspects of project
  • Assist in commissioning activities
  • Attend pre-sales bid conferences and site walks
  • Deliver materials to site
  • Full understanding of all prime contract and sub-contract details and ensure all requirements are met
  • Assist in the management of client, site, and subcontractor relationships
  • Daily management of internal and external site resources
  • Prepare final project documentation and engage in project handoff/closeout to customer
  • Engage in "Lessons Learned" meetings
  • Provide leadership and clarity during times of conflicting priorities 

You don't need to have these, but you'll be even more prepared for the job if you have:

  • PMP Certification
  • NABCEP Certification
  • Commercial Scale Solar project experience (+1MW)
  • Equipment Operation Certificates/Licenses
